I spent 6 weeks in Nicaragua learning about how I could live there as a single expat woman, loved it and I’m going again in August, join me!
Me and my elementary school friend Kat have lived and traveled a little (okay, maybe a lot) and decided we want to live abroad again, and soon. We realized that if WE feel this way then there must be other women in the same boat - don't tell me you haven't thought about it once or twice in your life! There are so many things one has to do to make it a reality so we decided we needed to come to the rescue. We support women to live abroad for a spell or a lifetime, for whatever reason, and there are many; change of pace, learn a language or culture, you've exhausted all the men in your area and need a new pool......the list goes on.
Anyway, the first step is to decide if it's really for you and then you should decide where sounds good to you and then go there, that's what I did. Nicaragua is rustic, I like that. For a handful of dollars I travelled by bus all over the country, literally! Of course, I also rented a car so I could have all experiences, made it super fun. Similarly, I also stayed in hostels and 5 Star resorts just to get the full flavor. I met more people in the hostels so that is my favorite stay AND Kat likes 5 Star, of course.
Hi, I'm Ingrid and I love sharing what I learn about travel and living abroad with you!
